I know you’re probably sick and tired of seeing posts about our 5 Year Anniversary Party but we’ve been so busy lately that this is the first chance I’ve had to sit down and blog about what this event was really all about. Although we called it our “Anniversary Party” we were really just looking for an excuse to show our appreciation to all of our friends and family that have supported us through these last 5 years, and more importantly to say Thank You to all of our wonderful patients that have been referring their friends and family to Dee for Dentist.
Planning the party was stressful in trying to figure out who would be invited and how to make it fair. Obviously we would love to have invited everyone, but that just wasn’t logistically or financially feasible. At the core, this party would be a celebration of how far Dee for Dentist has come over the last 5 years and the team spent hours trying to figure out how we had accomplished so much in that time. We are one of a handful of practices that don’t do any kind of advertising. We’ve staked our entire practice on providing a patient experience that people genuinely want to talk about and share with their friends and family.
And that’s how it came to be. Loyal patients that have stuck with us through the years AND had referred other patients would be the guests of honor. This wasn’t a small list either. We had over 350 patients on that list alone. In reality there should have been more, but often times patients don’t tell us who it was that referred them. (Note: if you are referring someone, please make sure and let us know!)
So now that we had our guest list sorted out, it was time to figure out what kind of party to throw because honestly, who wants to hang out with their dentist on a Friday night? We wanted it to be fun and engaging and since it’s Vegas, we settled on doing a Cocktails & Casino night where people could come to eat, drink, play, and just enjoy a night out. Playing the casino games would win you tickets for a raffle where the prizes were generously donated by our dental partners. When we asked for prizes we didn’t know what we’d get but we ended up getting some amazing items including gift cards, spa packages, photography sessions, and a 55″ 4K TV!
Finding a place to host the event was the next challenge. Mike visited dozens of locations until we found this gem downtown called Place on 7th. It had everything we needed and more. Space for the casino games, great ambiance, and the perfect vibe.
As the night approached we were filled with anxiety. Would people come, would it be fun, and the list goes on. As it turned out, the night was perfect. Everyone looked amazing and the fun was nonstop. Not only did all the guests partake of everything the evening had to offer, more importantly we got a chance to personally spend time with our patients and thank them for all the love they’ve showed us over the years.
One of the highlights of the evening was our Fills Good check presentation to the Nevada Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. This is the second time this group has won and they were neck and neck in it right up to the end. They are a great organization doing some amazing things for veterans suffering from spinal cord injuries. Congratulations again to Dan, Marc, Julie, and the entire PVA organization.
With such a positive response from the event, the question now becomes is this a one time thing, or is this something that Dee for Dentist will come to be known for year after year. What do you think?
Thank you to all the vendors and friends that made the evening possible. If you are looking for some great people to work with for an event, look no further:
