On Friday we weren’t open for patients. Instead we all came in for a training day. First we went over changes in patient insurance plans, general office items, common patient questions, and updated procedures. It was good to review things that we don’t encounter everyday and to have it written on paper makes it easy to look back on.
Next we did hands-on training to make us more efficient in making temporary crowns and using the advanced settings with the intraoral camera. I really liked the cavity detection setting on the camera. It detects any possible cavities on a tooth and it shows up bright red on the screen.
We got graded on everything we did and whoever had the best score got prizes. I won a gift card to the Cheesecake Factory! After we were done Doc and Mike took us all out to lunch at Grimaldi’s which was yummy. Overall it was a good day. I learned a lot but also had a lot of fun.
