Solea Laser Dentistry in Silverado Ranch

At Dee for Dentist in Silverado Ranch, we use the Solea laser system exclusively — which means most of our procedures skip the drill, the shot, and that hours-long numbness that makes you accidentally bite your cheek at lunch.

The Solea laser is the only dental laser in our practice, and it’s the one our team has trained on, teaches with, and trusts for everything from fillings to gum treatment to snoring therapy. At our Silverado Ranch dental office, we’ve built our entire approach around what this technology makes possible: treatment that’s faster, gentler, and remarkably effective for patients of all ages.

What the Solea Laser Actually Does

The Solea laser works by emitting a precisely controlled beam of light that targets water molecules in tooth structure and soft tissue. That energy vaporizes the targeted area cleanly, without the vibration, heat, or pressure that make traditional dental drills so uncomfortable. The result is a quiet, controlled treatment that feels more like a cool mist than anything you’ve experienced in a dental chair before.

Because the laser cauterizes as it works, there’s significantly less bleeding in soft-tissue procedures, and the treated area heals faster than it would after a scalpel or drill. According to the Academy of Laser Dentistry, laser-assisted procedures can reduce treatment time while improving clinical outcomes — and our providers are members who stay current with evolving standards in laser care.

Anesthesia-Free Fillings: Yes, Really

Dr. Milan Montero is one of the first and most experienced dentists in Nevada to use the Solea laser for anesthesia-free fillings. She holds a double certification in laser proficiency and is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, which means this isn’t a novelty at our practice — it’s a daily clinical reality. Most cavities can be treated without a single injection, which means no numb lip, no waiting around for the feeling to come back, and no rearranging your afternoon.

For patients who’ve spent years avoiding the dentist because of needle anxiety, this changes everything. You can come in, get the cavity treated, and head straight to lunch — without embarrassing yourself trying to drink from a straw. We’ll say it plainly: we love what the Solea laser does for people who thought dental care had to be uncomfortable.

Solea Laser Procedures We Perform in Silverado Ranch

Cavity Treatment and Fillings

Our most common Solea application — anesthesia-free in most cases, precise, and fast. We can treat multiple teeth in a single visit without the numbing agent pile-up that comes with traditional methods.

Periodontal Laser Therapy

Gum disease affects the bone and connective tissue that hold your teeth in place, and traditional treatment can require surgery and significant recovery. With the Solea laser, we can remove infected tissue, sterilize periodontal pockets, and stimulate healthy tissue regeneration — all without a scalpel. Gum Contouring and Cosmetic Soft Tissue Work

If your gumline is uneven or a “gummy smile” is affecting your confidence, the Solea laser reshapes soft tissue with minimal discomfort and almost no recovery time. The laser seals blood vessels as it works, which means less bleeding and a more comfortable experience than conventional gum surgery.

Snoring Treatment

The Solea laser gently tightens collagen in the soft palate, reducing the tissue vibration that causes snoring — no devices, no medications, no downtime. Most patients need just a session or two. If you or your partner is ready to sleep through the night, our laser snoring treatment at our Silverado Ranch location is worth a conversation.

Frenectomies and Minor Soft Tissue Corrections

Tongue ties, lip ties, and small tissue attachments that restrict movement can all be addressed with the Solea laser in a single visit, with minimal post-procedure discomfort for patients of any age — including children and infants.

Built for Every Patient in the Practice

The Solea laser’s quiet, drill-free operation makes it ideal for patients who’ve struggled with dental anxiety, children who get spooked by traditional instruments, and anyone who’s simply had enough of the old way of doing things. Our multilingual team speaks Thai, Tagalog, Spanish, and Chinese, so every patient fully understands what’s happening and why. You shouldn’t have to guess what’s going on in your own mouth.

Our advanced dental technology at Dee for Dentist goes beyond the laser: same-day CEREC restorations, Axeos® 3D cone-beam imaging, and digital nitrous oxide all work alongside the Solea system to make appointments faster and more comfortable than most people expect dentistry to be.

Frequently Asked Questions About Solea Laser Dentistry in Silverado Ranch

Is the Solea laser safe for children?

Yes. The Solea laser’s anesthesia-free, low-noise operation makes it one of the best tools available for pediatric care. Children who freeze up at the sight of a needle or the sound of a drill often do remarkably well with laser treatment. Our team regularly uses it for pediatric dental care at our Silverado Ranch office.

Will my insurance cover Solea laser procedures?

In most cases, yes. Insurance plans typically cover Solea procedures using the same billing codes as traditional treatments — only the method differs. Our team will work through your benefits with you before treatment starts so there are no surprises. We also work with CareCredit®, Lending Club, LendingPoint®, GreenSky®, and Sunbit for flexible financing.

Does the Solea laser work for gum disease?

It does, and it’s one of the most effective tools we have for it. The laser removes diseased tissue and simultaneously sterilizes the treatment area, which improves outcomes and shortens recovery time compared to traditional scaling or surgical approaches.

What does a Solea treatment feel like?

Most patients describe a cool mist sensation or mild pressure, not pain. The absence of vibration and the anesthesia-free approach means the experience is genuinely different from what most people expect at the dentist. Many first-time patients tell us they kept waiting for the uncomfortable part, and it never came.

Do both Dr. Dee Dee and Dr. Montero perform Solea laser treatments?

Yes. Both Dr. Dee Dee Meevasin and Dr. Milan Montero are trained in Solea laser dentistry and are members of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Our practice also trains other dentists on laser techniques, which gives you a sense of how seriously we take this technology. You can learn more about our providers and their credentials here.
